EXPERIENCE:

Travis Ternes grew up in the small town of Oxford, Kansas. The youngest of four overactive toe-headed boys he grew up running around with his brothers and playing sports, though not always well. After high school, he attended Kansas State University for his undergraduate degree. Travis worked for a couple years as a landman traveling throughout western Kansas before going to Washburn University School of Law. He joined Watkins Calcara in 2016 after passing the Kansas Bar Exam.

Travis’s practice consists largely of civil litigation but he also maintains a general practice. He regularly practices in both state and federal court. While finding the best solution to fit a particular case is always the goal, he has tried multiple cases through a jury, bench and the appellate courts.

In his free time Travis is avid about fitness, hiking, and continues to visit various national parks with the goal of seeing all in the U.S.
