Experience:
Travis Ternes grew up in the small town of Oxford, Kansas. The youngest of four overactive toe-headed boys he grew up running around with his brothers and playing sports, though not always well. After high school, he attended Kansas State University for his undergraduate degree. Travis worked for a couple years as a landman traveling throughout western Kansas before going to Washburn University School of Law. He joined Watkins Calcara in 2016 after passing the Kansas Bar Exam.

Travis’s practice consists largely of civil litigation, construction law, real estate and representing utilities. He regularly practices in both state and federal court. While finding the best solution to fit a particular case is always the goal, Travis considers himself a trial attorney, acting as first or second chair in civil jury trials in both state and federal court.

In his free time Travis is avid about fitness, hiking, and spends as much time with his wife and daughter as he can.
